ในวันที่ 1 พ.ค. นี้ (พรุ่งนี้นั่นเอง) Sony Creative Software จะออก Vegas 7.0e เวอร์ชันอัพเดทที่ออกมาเพื่อเป็นการโปรโมตกล้องวิดีโอ HD ตัวใหม่ของ Sony ที่เรียกกันว่า AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) และรวมไปถึง 3 โมเดลใหม่ได้แก่ HDR-SR5, HDR-CX7 และ HDR-SR7 ซึ่งกล้องนี้สามารถบันทึกวิดีโอด้วยคุณภาพ 1080 HD และเสียงระดับ Dolby Digital 5.1 surround เก็บข้อมูลในรูปแบบของ flash media cards, hard disk drives หรือ DVD นอกจากนี้ Vegas 7.0e ยัง support กับกล้องรุ่นอื่น ๆ ด้วยครับ ได้แก่โมเดล HDR-UX1, HDR-UX5, HDR-UX7 และ HDR-SR1
ยังไม่พอครับในเดือนมิถุนายนนี้ Sony ยังจะออกซอฟท์แวร์ที่มีชื่อว่า Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition 8 ที่ใช้ในการ edit ไฟล์ต่าง ๆ ด้วยคุณภาพะดับมาตรฐาน MPEG-4 AVC/H.264
